About Jason Snider

Former Mayor Snider moved to Tigard in 1999 and began his full-time career as clinical manager at American Medical Response from 1999 to 2003. In 2003 to the present, he has been employed in a number of management roles at Kaiser Permanente Northwest and is currently the administrator of the Regional General Surgery and Plastic Surgery Departments. Jason began public service early in life, working as an Emergency Medical Technician his senior year of high school and served two years on the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Board during his junior and senior years in high school.
In the Tigard community, Jason has volunteered by coaching 8 teams for Tigard Youth Soccer and Tigard Youth Football. He also volunteered as a Tigard Reserve Police Officer from 2001 to 2004 and was a member and Chair of the City of Tigard Budget Committee from May 2005 until December 2009. Jason and his wife, Jodi, have three children — two attend Tigard High School and one attends Twality Middle School. His personal interests include playing poker and boating on local rivers.
Jason attended Willamette University in Salem, graduating with a BS in Economics and Biology. He received an MS in Evaluative Clinical Sciences in 1999 from Dartmouth Medical School. He was first elected to serve on the Tigard City Council in 2013, became City Council President in 2015, and then served as Mayor from 2019 to 2022.
